Lacrosse Scout Signs UPLax, NYLA and Adrenaline to Recruiting Partnerships
Revolutionary iPad Scouting App Continues Trend to Support Automation of College Coaches' Assessment Data Collection Process
Homewood, CA. April 24, 2012 — West Shore Technologies, Inc. today announced three more tournament partnerships -- Ultimate Performance Lacrosse (UPLax) summer tournament (June 28-29), New York Lacrosse Academy (NYLA) summer tournament (June 16), and Adrenaline Lacrosse’s Sonoma Showcase and Sonoma Elite Shootout (July 11-15). The Adrenaline partnership also includes their High Rollers Showcase (November 2012) and Adrenaline Challenge (January 2013).
These partnerships enable college coaches who want to use SportsBoard™ Lacrosse Scout, West Shore’s patent-pending iPad scouting and assessment application, to download player profile data from the SportsBoard Server to their iPads prior to or at these events.
UPLax, NYLA and Adrenaline join West Shore’s other tournament partners -- Jake Reed’s Rising Events (June 22-24, 26-28; July 18-20) and Aloha Tournaments’ Brine Summer Sizzle (July 13-15) and Diamond Showcase (November 2012) to support this new-age automated process.
Lacrosse Scout allows coaches to record notes in an iPad they would normally handwrite in a printed packet provided by the tournament operator, as well as shot chart and goal chart data, stats, skills ratings, voicememos, photos and video for any player.
“I am thrilled to see these tournament operators embrace our technology,” states Gregg Jacobs, Founder and CEO of West Shore Technologies. “All of these tournament operators want to make data collection as easy as possible for college coaches, and Lacrosse Scout is a means to that end.”
Lacrosse Scout not only facilitates data collection at these events, it eliminates the post-event data entry process of manually entering data into spreadsheets and recruiting systems like Front Rush and ACS. Lacrosse Scout also expedites knowledge transfer among coaches, since syncing Lacrosse Scout the night of each day of the event enables coaches to share and review data with one another that would otherwise be handled through phone calls and meetings days or weeks later.
"When I first learned about Lacrosse Scout, I was excited about the efficiency gains that we might realize from it," said Mark Frey, men’s lacrosse head coach at Ferrum College. "Now that West Shore has partnered with all of these tournaments, and possibly more to come, I know that I am going to realize value from it."
Early adopters of Lacrosse Scout include US Naval Academy, Christopher Newport University, University of Pennsylvania, Gordon College, Marymount University and University of Michigan. West Shore also has 14 collegiate women’s lacrosse programs.
SportsBoard Scout is also available for Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Field Hockey, Rugby and Volleyball. For more information about West Shore Technologies, visit www.sportsboard-win.com.About West Shore Technologies, Inc.
